Massive Attack’s “Blue Lines” hybrid of soul, reggae, jazz and slow burnin’ grooves is a club and post-rave come-down classic album. It arose out of the Bristol underground dance scene spearheaded by The Wild Bunch and in turn, was the predecessor to albums such as DJ Shadow’s “Endtroducing” and Portishead’s “Dummy”. Read more about the album here.
