Tuesday, the 31st March, Classic Album Sundays is co-hosting an event with Nick Dwyer from ‘A Century in Sound’ at Space Talk in London. Nick is in London screening his film series ‘A Century in Sound’ which tells the stories behind the Japan’s listening bars. All of the screenings sold out quickly but one more has been added on at the Rio Cinema in Dalston, London on the 29th June but be quick! He is screening the first three episodes (Classic Album Sundays is in the final 6th episode).
For this event on Tuesday, 31st March the tables will be turned as Nick will be interviewing Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy about her experiences in Japan first as a radio DJ in 1989 through touring as a DJ from the 1990’s to my listening bar discovery after she started Classic Album Sundays in 2010. And the interview will be interspersed with vinyl playbacks of songs by some of her favourite Japanese artists.
Space Talk is at 18-20 St John Street, London and the event starts at 7pm and is free. We hope you can make it!
