After their massive success with “The Dark Side of the Moon”, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters decided one of the concepts on their next album should centre around their disdain of the music business. Roy Harper even makes a guestie as a record company exec who asks, “Which one’s Pink?”. Read more about the album here.
Join us at 5 pm on Sunday, 2 December, to listen to music that inspired or was contemporary to the 1975 release of “Wish You Were Here”. Order food and drink as The Hanbury Arms serve pizza (including gluten-free!) made fresh in their brick oven and Bellwether has a raw bar with delicious and well-priced oysters. Then at 7 pm we present the story behind the album followed by a continuous replay of the record on vinyl on our audiophile hi-fi. Listening guidelines apply.
