DJ Krush is one of the originators of Japanese hip hop as has become one of the most respected DJs and producers on the international underground hip hop scene. His music has always had a jazz influence so it is no surprise that he chose one of the greats, Miles Davis. However, his particular album choice was a revelation as it is the album that preceded two of Davis’ turning point albums: ‘Milestones’ and ‘Kind of Blue’. For his choice, DJ Krush picked Miles Davis’ score for the Louis Malle film ‘Ascenseur pour l’échafaud’.

At this special CAS session in conjunction with Red Bull Music Academy Japan we will speak with Krush about his own love for jazz, film scores and this album. Information about the event in Japanese is here.
