  1. Hi Colleen
I just wanted to say thank you for another memorable evening on Sunday. Your lead-up tracks, research and overall enthusiasm help make these events a real pleasure to be a part of.
I seem to remember reading about C.A.S. around 2011 when I was living outside of London and thought it was a cool idea. I didn’t really think about it again until last year when I saw Matt post on FB about the Soul Mining event which was a great evening. I’ve since managed to get along to ‘London Calling’, ‘Selected Ambient Works’ and of course ‘Kid A’
We chatted briefly at the end of Sunday evening and I mentioned a new album that I’ve fallen in love with recently. The album is ‘Shook’ by Dralms who are from Vancouver. We’ve been lucky enough to catch them live three times this year and they’re playing at Birthdays Dalston on 30th Nov.
Their sound is deliciously seductive. The music pulses sweetly but quickly pulls you below the dappled surface to the murkier depths of the lyrics that also sound honey dripped but crackle with dystopian themes.
I know you’re in the middle of a busy couple of days but when the dust settles I hope you get the chance to take a listen to their album. I think this link should work.
I also took a look at the Bitches Brew website yesterday and noticed you’ve done some work with Emily Breeze. We saw her a couple of months ago in her band Candy Darling and she’s a great singer & performer – a real talent.
Anyway I won’t take up any more of your time. I hope the JHX & Ride events are a great success and look forward to seeing you soon at C.A.S.
    Best wishes

  2. I think I need to check the responses on the site more often! Thank you so much for the above and I will check out the link. Cheers!
