Once again we were spoilt for choice when it came to boxsets in 2017. There were excellent releases across the musical spectrum, so we decided to sort through the year’s finest releases to give you our Top 5 Box-Sets of the year. Check out the list below.

Matt Johnson’s excellent triple box-set contains The End Of The Day, The Inertia Variations, and Midnight to Midnight, spanning performances, poetry, and electronic soundscapes.

2. George Harrison – The Vinyl Collection

The definitive Vinyl collection of Harrison’s post-Beatles solo work, including an additional book of hand-written lyrics, photographs and assorted memorabilia.

3. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Lovely Creatures: The Best Of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 1984-2014

A triple vinyl, career spanning collection of work by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, which includes fully remastered audio, a book collection of essays and intimate family photographs.

4. Radiohead – Ok Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017

Celebrating twenty years of one of Radiohead’s most iconic and exploratory albums, this new box-set edition featured a triple LP pressing of the album alongside rarity’s, B-sides and exclusive unreleased material.

5. Ron Trent – Prescription: Word, Sound & Power

Foundational deep house label Prescription Records looked back on their legacy with this bumper 6LP collation of hard-to-find dance-floor singles charting the development of an immeasurably influential institution.
