‘’It’s a rare opportunity to do a poster for jazz and even rarer yet again to do a poster for an artist I admire in John Coltrane. I wanted to create an image that was inspired by all the great jazz illustration through the years but also to do something unique – something that fit the genre but didn’t feel like a knock-off. Making the saxophone the focus but abstracting it to the very edge of readability was my ultimate goal as well as capturing the feel and mood of the album. Hopefully I succeeded in some small way.’’ Billy Baumann
There are two variants available and both are 18 x 24″, five-colour screen-print on 100# cougar white stock. The first is limited to 100 and costs £35 and the second is limited to 30 and costs £50. All prints come signed and numbered.
