Theloni0us Monk’s third album for the legendary jazz label Riverside includes his first self-penned compositions for these label recordings and includes one of his most challenging and unconventional works, the title track ‘Brilliant Corners’. One of the pianist’s most critically acclaimed albums, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 due to its historical significance. Read more about the album here.
