We are delighted to be launching monthly events in Colorado from this September! Following on fromour appearances at last years and this years Rocky Mountain Audio Fest we are delighted to be heading to Colorado on a monthly basis at our new home the beautiful Local Relic a 120 year old historic stone church in downtown Colorado Springs that serves over 200 different beers per year!!
We are delighted to announce the the audio menu will be supplied by the ‘The Music Room’ in Colorado, the suppliers of fantastic high end second hand audio equipment. The first event will include equipment such as Magico S1 M-Cast speakers and the Rega RP8 turntable. Check out the full audio menu below.
The first event will feature Homogenic which turn’s 20 years old this September. Björk, along with Mark Bell, Guy Sigsworth, Howie B and Markus Dravs produced an album that was a new style for Björk, a juxtaposition of organic instruments (strings, accordion, harp, pipe organ) and synthetic elements.
The fact that English is a second language for Björk has always allowed for a unique approach to words and phrases. On Post, Björk seemed to be writing lyrics from the perspective of an eccentric homebody given to daydreaming; on Homogenic her lyrics are arguably her most incisive and astute to date , “How could I be so immature/To think that he could replace/The missing elements in me?/How extremely lazy of me!”.
Join us to hear this incredible album as never before.
