In April 2024, Eddy Grant joined Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy for a Classic Album Sundays session at the British Library to take a look back at his long and varied journey through music. The Guyana-born musician embarked upon his musical career in the 1960’s by co-founding the first British multi-racial band, The Equals. In the 1970’s he went solo and released his classic album ‘Walking on Sunshine’. The following decade saw his international breakthrough with his Top 40 hit ‘Electric Avenue’. Grant discusses all of these key musical moments revealing many insights and anecdotes along the way.
