Pink Floyd’s debut album, “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn” is the only Floyd record made with founding member Syd Barrett at the helm. Featuring far-out songs including “Astronomy Domine” and “Interstellar Overdrive”, the album has become one of the most iconic psychedelic records of the 1960’s. It is also a favourite of journalist Alexis Petridis, the head Rock and Pop critic at The Guardian. We can’t wait to hear his thoughts on the album and we may even have a mono copy for the playback!
Join us to first listen to music that either inspired or was relevant to this LP followed by the story and contemporary relevance of the album. Then the lights go down, the volume goes up and we play the album from beginning to end on vinyl on our audiophile hi-fi. Listening guidelines apply.
