After a successful debut at last year’s Camp Bestival, Classic Album Sundays will return to our beloved playroom in Lulworth Castle on 27, 28 and 29th July. Once again, the hi-fi will be supplied by Linn who have made us some very special loudspeakers which will make their debut at the festival. We can’t wait!
CAS founder Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy will be featuring two of her personal favourites from Alice Coltrane and Black Uhuru and we will also have a special daily morning Kids Classics session from 11 to 11:45. Don’t worry – we don’t expect them to stay quiet ;). See the full line-up below.
On top of that, our friends at FOPP will be supplying us with giveaways. What’s not to like?

Check out these Soundbites from last year’s festival if you still need a nudge:
“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed listening to “Chill Out” on Sunday – its been a while and was the ideal day/weather/location. Once again many thanks – it was certainly among one of the highlights of the festival.” – Jane Challinor
“Thanks for being the icing on the cake of a very entertaining Camp Bestival. My partner Kim, friend Helen and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent in the playroom!” – Ivan Swallow
“I couldn’t agree more with this initiative! Thank you so much, thank goodness I’m not the only person who thinks like this! :-)” – Paul S. Davis
“Thanks for the well positioned comfy chair under the castle, the thoughtful warm up choices – especially the 12″ of ‘Fascination Street’ which sounded fantastic, and Gil’s ‘Bottle’, and of course Violator and Blue Lines in full. Made my weekend. Thank you!” – Chris Maile
“I had the great pleasure of attending Classic Albums at Camp Bestival where I heard the KLF ‘Chill Out’. Although this album is one of my all-time favourites & I ‘ve heard it countless times, this occasion was certainly the loudest & clearest. It was one of my personal highlights of Camp Bestival & was enhanced by the enlightening talk by the American lady – she was great!” – Drew STYLA
