Classic Album Sundays Portland presents Prince ‘Purple Rain’

Can you believe Purple Rain is turning 30?!

Join us for our monthly vinyl listening party featuring Prince’s amazing “Purple Rain” over our audiophile hi-fi sound system.

First we’ll listen to music that either inspired or was relevant to this LP such as Sly and the Family Stone, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, The Bangles, Earth Wind & Fire, and Miles Davis followed by the story behind the album.

Then the lights go down, the volume goes up and we play the album from beginning to end on vinyl over a world-class sound system. You won’t believe what you can hear! Listening guidelines apply.

I hope that classic albums event comes to baltimore maryland because I am a
purple rain fanatic. it is my all time favorite old school movie. how did the drummer
for the band make his electronic snare drum sound just like the one prince and the
revolution drummer bobby z played on the purple rain tour. and what company makes
    makes it?
